MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the minister, the Ukrainian leader is diverting attention from his own failure to comply with the Minsk peace deals by supporting Russophobia.
"So far we see that Ukrainian authorities are trying to heat up the situation by making some inconceivable, delusional statements," Lavrov told reporters, reacting to Poroshenko's recent statement that Russian President Vladimir Putin "wants all of Europe."
"It is clear that such a person is more concerned about maintaining Russophobia in the West, about artificially escalating tensions and thereby diverting attention from his own inability to fulfill what he signed up for," Lavrov said.
Kiev officials have been accusing Russia of interfering in the Ukrainian conflict and claiming that the country is only first point of Russian "aggression." Moscow has repeatedly dismissed all the allegations, stressing that Russia stands for settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.
