“The Cabinet reshuffle planned for this fall may not spare the Premier himself,” the Kiev-based newspaper Vesti wrote, adding that Arseniy Yatsenyuk had allegedly been offered to head the National Bank of Ukraine.
“If he agrees, his present job will go to Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko. The Prime Minister is still considering the offer,” the newspaper wrote, citing its own sources in the government.
In addition to the post of the country’s chief banker, Arseniy Yatsenyuk will reportedly be allowed to run in the next parliamentary elections on the People’s Front ticket, along with the Solidarity Party led by President Petro Poroshenko.
The government and the presidential administration have both dismissed the newspaper’s report as “rumors”.
