MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The People’s Daily quoted the deputy head of Tianjin’s publicity department, Gong Jiansheng, as saying at a press conference that another 70 people remain missing after gigantic explosions rocked the key petrochemical hub late Wednesday.
Among the identified victims were 16 municipal public security bureau firefighters, 23 firefighters employed by the city port, five police officers, and 10 additional victims.
The government publication further added that 698 remain hospitalized, 57 of those in critical condition, as of Monday.
