"Command post exercises took place where the departments of national security, defense and law enforcement agencies, as well as federal and regional authorities conducted collective training simulating the threat of a terrorist act on an important military facility," Luzik said.
He elaborated that units of the submarine forces, marines and the Northern Fleet's anti-sabotage detachment took part in the exercises.
Regional departments of the Federal Security Service (FSB), the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Emergency Situations also participated in the anti-terror drills.
"A total of 400 national security, defense and law enforcement officers, including over 200 Northern Fleet soldiers and 20 units of military and special equipment, have been involved in the exercises," Luzik added.
