NOVOROSSIYSK (Sputnik) — Russian international energy partners can be confident that all planned projects will be implemented, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday at an opening of a new oil pipeline tunnel in the country’s southwest.

"Such a renewal of production funds is the key to efficient, stable operation of enterprises and timely execution of export-contract obligations by our suppliers, so our partners can be confident of the implementation of all plans," Putin said.

Earlier in the day, the president put into operation a 3.2-kilometer (2-mile) technological tunnel Shesharis-Grushovaya in the city of Novorossiysk.

The tunnel, with nine pipelines, will replace a previous 50-year-old facility, part of the Shesharis terminal, securing oil export transfer from Western Siberia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
