As a thunderstorm passes over Atlanta, Jack Perkins, a traveler who was waiting for his flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport decides to film the scene on the tarmac outside. Less than 20 seconds in, Perkins captures a terrifying moment when a lightning strike hits a Delta jet.
As if the image isn't incredible enough, Perkins replays it again in slow motion to show the bright and fiery bolt of lightning pass through the aircraft and onto the ground. According to the Aviationist, no one was hurt in the incident, as planes are designed to block out the effects of the lightning.
