MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, an unidentified gunman opened fire on travelers inside the stopped train, wounding at least three passengers.

The incident happened near Arras, 115 miles north of Paris, while the Thalys train was stopped at the town’s station.
The shooter, later overpowered by two off-duty US military servicemen and arrested, was said to be armed with a Kalashnikov rifle, according to local media reports.
