The United States should learn to suit its actions to its words and give up mere rhetoric. The fact that the US’ major allies in the region — Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey — support the terrorist organizations and participate in the US-led coalition against the ISIL significantly spoil the country’s reputation.
Now, the US has another good pretext to expand its unauthorized military activities in the Middle East as there are suspicions that ISIL has chemical weapons and has already used them in the battle.
“The use of chemical weapons would cross a red line that could force American action,” US President Barack Obama announced recently.
However, according to FNA, the United States should give up its intention to create further no-fly zones without UN mandate and stop its attempts to disintegrate Iraq and Syria.
“Allowing the two Arab nations to fall apart will only enforce the narrative that the West wants to “divide and rule” the Muslim world,” the news agency wrote, stressing that the US’ main goal should be to support anti-ISIL forces.
