MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On August 20, a Russian court in the southwest Astrakhan Region urged Roskomnadzor to blacklist Wikipedia if it refused to delete an article detailing narcotic substance preparation.
"The information, recognized as illegal by the court, has been edited," the watchdog said in a statement.
Roskomnadzor added that the link had been removed from the unified registry of banned information.
On Monday, Roskomnadzor said it had ordered providers to block the Russian-language section of the Wikipedia web page following a refusal to delete the drug-related article by the administration of Wikipedia in Russia.
