Putin will visit China September 2-3 to take part in events devoted to the 70th anniversary of Japan’s surrender in World War II.
"There is no doubt that the Russian head’s visit will give an additional impulse to our strategic cooperation in various areas," Denisov said.
The schedule of the upcoming visit is very intense, and Putin will hold a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jiping, Denisov added.
The talks are expected to include over 20 agreements in different areas, particularly investment, finance and transport, according to the ambassador.
"We are grateful to the Chinese partners for their understanding of our position on the Ukrainian issue, and we appreciate the firm rejection by the Chinese side of anti-Russia sanctions," Denisov said, commenting on the upcoming visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to China.
Russian-Chinese international cooperation has evolved into a powerful factor for maintaining world peace and security, the ambassador stated.
The heads of Russia and China are expected to discuss bilateral relations in the aftermath of the BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summits held in July in the Russian city of Ufa.
