ANKARA (Sputnik) — Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu said Friday that he will present an interim cabinet of ministers to the country's president later in the day.
On Tuesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan granted Davutoglu a mandate to form an interim government, which will hold office until snap elections are held in the country on November 1.
The JDP, as well as the pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party, agreed to form the interim government, while two other opposition parties — the Republican People's Party and the Nationalist Movement Party – refused to served in it.
On Monday, the Turkish president called snap elections after the JDP failed to reach an agreement with other parliamentary parties to form a coalition government within the time allowed by the country's constitution.
