KIEV (Sputnik) — "I believe that the Association Agreement with Europe will only bring long-term benefits for the economy of Ukraine, and for its society. Europe does not see any possibility for further postponing the conditions of this agreement," Butkevicius said during a Ukrainian-Lithuanian Business Council meeting.
The Ukraine-EU Association Agreement establishes a political and economic association between the parties.
The association deal was signed after the new Ukrainian government came to power in 2014.
Russia’s concerns over the implementation of the agreement led to a postponement of the free-trade zone's implementation until early 2016.
