MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A Nigerian Air Force aircraft crashed Saturday morning in the northwest of the country, killing all passengers and crew on board, a military spokesman said.
"Though no casualty was recorded on ground, there were no survivors among the passengers onboard the aircraft," Dele Alonge told the Premium Times newspaper.
According to the media outlet, the Dornier-228 aircraft crashed while en route to the country’s capital Abuja.
"Bodies of the passengers have been recovered and fire fighters are already at the crash site to curtail fire from spreading to other buildings within the vicinity," the spokesman said.
The country’s authorities set up an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
