KHARTOUM (Sputnik) — The visit will take place following an invitation by the Russian side, according to the source.
"Ghandour will arrive in Moscow on September 9 to hold bilateral talks…. on joint cooperation and ways to boost development of strategic relations between Khartoum and Moscow," the source said.
The Sudanese foreign minister will head to Russia following President Umar Bashir's visit to China, where Ghandour is scheduled to be part of the Sudanese delegation of ministers and officials, the source said. Ghandour, a former presidential assistant, was sworn in June 7.
