MOSCOW (Sputnik) – ISIL militants have executed more than 90 people in the last month in Syria, a monitoring organization said Sunday.
"The Islamic State jihadist group, or IS, has executed 91 people between July 29 and this Saturday in various Syrian provinces… Of the 91 victims, there were 32 civilians including two women, 39 IS combatants, 11 rebels and at least nine soldiers," the Syrian Human Rights Observatory said in a statement on its website.
According to the monitor, the people were executed for allegedly offending religion, collaborating with foreign organizations and the US-led coalition against ISIL, practicing witchcraft and working for the Syrian government.
Overall, the militants executed 3,156 people in Syria.
ISIL is a violent extremist militant group, which seized large territories in Iraq and Syria in 2014. The group has executed multiple people in those countries, as well as the neighboring states.
