MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the minister, on August 24-29, the Western and Central Military Districts completed preparations for the Center-2015.
Russia's armed forces held 79 exercises in August, Shoigu said during a teleconference with defense ministry officials.
The most widescale drills held to date were the exercises on the comprehensive provision of forces in the Central Asian strategic direction, the minister said. The exercises involved about 6,000 servicemen and around 800 units of equipment, according to Shoigu.
