VLADIVOSTOK (Sputnik) – Over 200 investment projects valued at over $70 billion are expected to be presented at the EEF in Vladivostok, on September 3-5. A total of 4,000 people, including 1,500 foreigners, have applied to take part in the EEF, despite the forum’s 1,000-person capacity.
"The business program, the activities, exhibitions, the cultural program for participants – almost everything is ready," Igor Pushkaryov told RIA Novosti. "In short, everything is in order."
Pushkaryov said most of the forum’s events will be held on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University, which has "honed the organization of these kinds of large-scale events."
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters earlier in the day that Russian President Vladimir Putin was expected to address the forum, in which he will focus on investment opportunities in the Far East.
According to the forum’s organizing committee, the three main objectives of the forum include presenting information on the new investment conditions in the region, providing a comprehensive expert assessment of the region's economic potential, as well as improving relations between the international investment community and local government.
