WASHINGTON, (Sputnik) — The Department of Justice recently filed a brief in a lawsuit brought by Planned Parenthood against the state of Louisiana. Governor Jindall is attempting to revoke a contract which provides state Medicaid dollars to Planned Parenthood.
"President Obama is so committed to protecting Planned Parenthood’s baby harvesting operation that he sent his lawyers from the Department of Justice all the way to Baton Rouge to sue me and try to stop us from canceling these contracts," Jindall said in a campaign statement on Tuesday.
Louisiana, Alabama, and New Hampshire are among the states seeking to cut off funding for Planned Parenthood. Efforts to defund the nationwide medical provider follow the July release of undercover tapes showing representatives of Planned Parenthood discussing the sale of fetal tissue.
