MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Over 1,500 servicemen are participating in military exercises in South Ossetia, Russia's Southern Military District said Wednesday.
"During field training, troops will work on their skills in operating modern T-72BM tanks, BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, Akatsiya and Gvozdika self-propelled artillery using Zastava, Granat and Navodchik-2 drones," the military district said in a statement.
