KIEV (Sputnik) — Ukrainian parliament members plan to gather signatures to hold a new first reading on proposed decentralization amendments to the country's constitution, Oleh Bereziuk, head of the Self Reliance party's parliamentary group, said Thursday.

According to Bereziuk, many of the deputies who voted in favor of the bill, which was passed with well over the needed 226 votes in the first reading, will not vote the second time, when 300 votes are needed for the legislation to be passed.

"And here is a way out here, collecting 150 votes and going back to the first reading to start over," he told reporters.
