It can now be said "with certainty" that the wing part found on Reunion Island was from the missing MH370 flight, Paris prosecutor François Molins said Thursday.
The wing fragment was found on the coast of Reunion, a French territory in the southern Indian Ocean, on July 29 and was later identified as the "flaperon" of a Boeing 777.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, disappeared from radar screens on March 8, 2014, less than an hour after takeoff. There were 227 passengers and 12 crew members on board.
