A correspondent from the Russian website defendingrussia.com has managed to obtain an array of unique photos of the sophisticated Russian corvette Boykiy.
This multi-role ship, which is the third corvette built under the Project 20380 program, entered service with the Russian Baltic Fleet in 2013.
The 105-meter-long Boykiy has a full displacement of 2,200 metric tons and a maximum speed of 27 knots (about 50 kilometers) per hour.
If necessary, the corvette can take on board the Ka-27 helicopter, which is deployed in its hangar.
The ship is made of composite materials and equipped with state-of-the-art weapons, including the A-190 100mm naval gun, guided missiles, torpedoes and a AK-630 30mm fully automatic naval close-in weapon system.
Also, the ship is equipped with electronic warfare systems, among them a couple of powerful radars.
In addition, there are four diesel engines inside the Boykiy, which add to its ability to move at a speed of 27 knots per hour.
