What Putin Said at Eastern Economic Forum Apart From Economics
VLADIVOSTOK (Sputnik) – The first Eastern Economic Forum held in the Russian Far East has resulted in the signing of agreements worth a total of 1.3 trillion rubles (about $18.9 billion), Russian Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev said.

"We did not expect such a figure," Trutnev told journalists on Saturday, the last day of the forum, adding that a total of around 80 agreements was reached.

A three-day forum kicked off on September 3 in the Russian Pacific city of Vladivostok.

The EEF brought together business and government representatives along with industry experts from Russia and Asia-Pacific countries to discuss the economic potential of Russia's Far East and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as cooperation and investment opportunities.

According to Trutnev, preparations for the second EEF will begin in October.
