MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The sixth major press-conference will commence at 11.00 a.m. local time (09:00 GMT) and will highlight various social and financial reforms in France, proposed by Hollande ahead of his last year as incumbent president.
Hollande will address the recent tax reduction proposal in the country after the excessive taxation of French households between the years of 2011 and 2014, according to local media. The measure was introduced in order to bring the public deficit of the country below three percent in 2017.
According to reports, the French president will also discuss the efforts of the European Union at tackling the major ongoing migrant crisis and possible terror threats.
The upcoming presidential elections in France are scheduled for April 2017. Hollande is expected to run for his second and final term along his political rivals, including Marine Le Pen, the head of the right-wing National Front party, former President Nicolas Sarkozy and former Prime Minister Alain Juppe.
