The Vermont senator now has 41% support, while Clinton is at 32%, and Vice President Joe Biden, who has not yet declared his intention to run, is at 16%.  If Biden is removed from the race, Sanders’ lead jumps to 11 points.

CNBC noted that none of the other Democratic candidates received more than 1% support.

Sanders has also been picking up steam with voters in Iowa, where Clinton’s lead has dwindled from 24 points ahead of the senator in July, down to just 11%.  Biden is currently holding 20% of the votes in the state, while Sanders is at 27% and Clinton at 38%.

In the Republican race, Donald Trump is leading the polls in Iowa by 7% and the polls in New Hampshire by 16%.

In Iowa, Ben Carson is the runner up, with 22% of the vote to Trump’s 29%.  Jeb Bush currently has 6% support, while all other candidates are at 5% or below.

In New Hampshire, John Kasich is the runner up, with 12% support following Trump’s 28%.  Carson comes in close to Kasich, with 11%.

While Biden has not declared a presidential run, there is much speculation about an imminent announcement, and he is currently polling better than Clinton in the Democratic NBC/Marist polls.  He is also polling more favorably than Clinton across party lines.
