MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Kalashnikov Concern, a Russian arms manufacturer, will showcase for the first time the combat capabilities of the new remote-controlled weapon station mounted on a heavy-class armored vehicle during the Russia Arms Expo-2015, the concern’s head said.
"This is our advanced development, the fire characteristics of which will be seen within the framework of the RAE-2015 demonstration," Alexei Krivoruchko said Tuesday, as quoted by the Kalashnikov press service.
The Russia Arms Expo is scheduled to take place on September 9-12, in the city of Nizhny Tagil.
At least 10 countries, including South Korea, Italy, France and Turkey, will be exhibiting at RAE-2015.
The Kalashnikov Concern was created in 2013 in a merger of two Soviet-era plants, becoming Russia’s largest producer of rifles and other weaponry.
The company exports its products to 27 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Italy, Canada, Kazakhstan and Thailand.
