After George W. Bush, Barack Obama took a different stance to the war policy in order to avoid another major conflict in the Middle East, said Joe Iosbaker, a leader of the United National Antiwar Coalition.
“He brought about a change in war policy from the old Bush-era policy of preparing to fight two major wars to preparing to fight one,” Iosbaker told Press TV on Wednesday.
“You can’t understand the nuclear deal with Iran unless you grasp the pivot to Asia,” he added.
“The US has been engaged in endless war for 14 years and that will continue,” the activist said. “The tiger hasn’t changed its stripes.”
Kerry discussed the Vienna nuclear accord with Netanyahu and confirmed Washington’s commitment to Israel’s security in a telephone call over the weekend, State Department Spokesman John Kirby said on Tuesday.
The top US diplomat made the phone call after the White House won enough Democratic votes in the Senate to block a resolution against the Iran agreement.
