MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The deal was signed by Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko and Qimiao Fan, the World Bank's Country Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova.

The bank said earlier in the week that the loan is aimed at improving the solvency of Ukraine's banking system through the implementation of bank recapitalization and restructuring plans, as well as strengthening the legal and institutional framework.
