MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Iran has finished developing two radar air defense systems in complete secrecy, President Hassan Rouhani said Wednesday.
"We have reached a design that we can divert enemy's missiles before they reach our air defense systems and they cannot hit our air defense units," Rouhani said, as quoted by the Iranian Fars news agency.
Earlier on Wednesday, Iran unveiled the two new domestically produced long-range and high-precision radar systems, called Nazir and Bina, which were installed in the southeast of the country.
The systems work at different frequencies and are able to detect stealth aircraft and missiles.
