The kid is a tech genius and a member of the Irving MacArthur High School robotics club. His bedroom is full of homemade radios and circuit boards.
This time Mohamed decided to impress his teacher and peers by assembling a clock by putting together a circuit board and power supply to a digital display.
However, when the boy took his clock to school the next day, he was pulled out of a class by police officers and taken to a juvenile detention center. Five police officers interrogated the boy, trying to know if he was trying to make a bomb.
