BEIJING (Sputnik) — The Chinese leader is preparing to make his first state visit to the United States on September 22-25 ahead of participating in the UN General Assembly.
"On the invitation of president Obama I am going to the United States with a state visit in the near future. I am willing to exchange views on the most significant issues of common concern with president Obama," Xi said, as quoted in the statement.
He added that the two leaders planned to enhance their bilateral cooperation and discuss the problems of world peace, development and prosperity.
