NEW YORK (Sputnik) — The undersecretary stressed that Saudi Arabia would cooperate with Russia on refugees crisis settlement and expressed hope that Moscow would play a constructive role in solving the Syrian conflict.
The undersecretary claimed that Saudi Arabia had allocated a $700-million financial aid to help Syria since 2011, in particular, for refugee camps in Jordan and Lebanon, the countries that are currently hosting a total of 3.68 million Syrian refugees along with Turkey, according to the UN Refugee Agency.

Russia has been engaged in international efforts to find a political solution to the ongoing conflict in Syria.
On Thursday, Russia established the first camp for 500 refugees in the central Syrian city of Hama.
Last week, two planes from Russia delivered 80 tons of humanitarian assistance to Syria, including food and tents.
