CAIRO (Sputnik) – Egypt’ President Abdel Fattah Sisi kept his defense, interior, justice and foreign ministers in a new government, local media reported Saturday.
Some of the ministries have been merged in one, in particular the ministries of health and population, according to the Ahram Online news website.
The Cabinet of Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab resigned on September 12.
The same day, Sisi ordered Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Sherif Ismail to form the new government.
The resignation came amid a major corruption scandal, which involved the arrest of Egyptian Minister of Agriculture Selah Helal for accepting bribes.
