MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Sunday Moscow is hosting an international conference named "The dialogue of nations. The right of people to self-determination and building of the multipolar world," where independence supporters from different countries have gathered to discuss the rights of nations to self-determination and the world's shift to unipolarity.
"The US imperialism is getting worse. They have their 'evil hand' in every continent now. We have seen in the last number of years that have made some countries non-functioning. Libya is now non-functioning, Syria is barely functioning. They are destabilizing everywhere," Diarmuid MacDubhghlais, who is representing Sinn Fein at the conference, said.
The ongoing refugee crisis is a direct consequence of military operations that Washington has initiated, MacDubhghlais added.
"What is going on with refugees is also a consequence of the US imperialism. It destabilizes Europe, and the one who benefits will be the United States again. Ten thousand refugees from Syria that they pledged to accept is a drop in the ocean for the United States," the representative said.
The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the European Union and the United States is aimed at creating the world's largest free trade zone that would account for 60 percent of global production.
TISA is a proposed international trade deal between 24 parties, initiated by the United States and EU member states, to open up trade in services to a greater degree than allowed by the current General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS).
Both, TISA and TTIP negotiating processes are shrouded in controversy because of the trade deals' secretive nature. Uncertain implications for rights, employment relations and the environment have also drawn ire from labor unions and other watchdogs.
