KIEV/MINSK (Sputnik) – ICRC’s activities have been temporarily suspended in Donbass to resolve accreditation issues in the region.
"The ICRC mission launched today by delivering humanitarian aid in the villages of the so-called gray zone close to the contact line," Iryna Herashchenko from the Contact Group's humanitarian subgroup told 112 Ukraine television.
Sajdik further explained that the Geneva-based humanitarian organization carried out its mission in the hardest-hit regions of Donetsk and added that it planned similar deliveries in neighbouring Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR).
Russia, meanwhile, sent its 38th consecutive aid convoy of more than 100 vehicles carrying over 1,200 metric tons of food essentials and textbooks for residents of both regions last week.
