MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Global oil prices are unlikely to ever reach $100 per barrel again, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said Wednesday.
"Now, as you see, there is a new reality. The oil price of $100 per barrel is unlikely to return, it is history," Siluanov told reporters.
World oil prices have fallen by nearly two-thirds since mid-2014 due to market oversupply, with Brent crude averaging $48.94 per barrel and WTI $45.68 per barrel as of September 16.
