Kremlin Cannot Confirm Putin-Obama Meeting in New York Yet
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier on Wednesday, media reported citing an unnamed source that a meeting between the leaders of Russia and the United States will occur on the sidelines of the UNGA.

"No meetings at UNGA to confirm, as the President’s schedule remains in process," Stroh stated.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Wednesday that he was not confirming the meeting between Obama and Putin, but added that they were working on it.

Earlier in September, Peskov said that Putin was always open for a dialogue with his US counterpart.

Peskov has previously noted that the Russian and US leaders could possibly meet on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session to discuss the situation in Syria.
