MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Wednesday, The New York Times reported, citing unnamed US administration officials, that a meeting between the two leaders could be held on Monday or Tuesday during the UN General Assembly.
Peskov added that it was too early to discuss the Syrian crisis as the agenda for a meeting that may not occur.
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves. After a meeting [between Putin and Obama] is confirmed, if it is confirmed, we will make an announcement," Peskov told journalists.
