There is only chaos and violence, where Americans are involved. The US military operation in Syria is increasingly becoming a fiasco, taking into account its inefficient attempts to train "moderate rebels" for the fight against the Syrian army and the ISIL militias, Austrian Contra Magazin wrote.
The rest of the fighters still remain in Turkey, some of them have joined other armed groups or just disappeared. A major program that will ultimately cost approximately 55 million dollars per an active fighter proved to be inefficient.
Earlier, British newspaper The Telegraph reported that 30 US-trained rebels “betrayed the US” and passed their weapons to the Islamist group Al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of the notorious al-Qaeda terrorist group.
The report was confirmed by a Twitter post of an al-Nusra member, calling himself Abu Fahd al-Tunisi.
"A strong slap for America… the new group from Division 30 that entered yesterday hands over all of its weapons to Jabhat al-Nusra after being granted safe passage,” the statement said, as cited by the Telegraph.
Thus, inefficient US military operation in the Middle East, allegations about US involvement in the founding of the terrorist militia, intentional sabotage by the CIA and the country’s overstretched military and geopolitical ambitions have catastrophic consequences within and beyond the region, resulting in the deaths of millions of people and increasing the flow of refugees to European states.
