UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) — The UN Security Council will vote on a resolution on the current migrant crisis after the so-called high-level week at the General Assembly, Russian envoy to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin said Sunday.
"At the last moment, some African members of the UN Security Council voiced concerns, and the Brits, who are the main authors of the resolution, were unable to resolve them. They said they would continue discussions during the high-level week, and when the Africans' concerns are resolved, the resolution will be adopted," Churkin said on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
The diplomat noted that Russia is satisfied with the draft resolution.
