MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On Monday, media reports emerged suggesting that Saudi warplanes had bombed a wedding celebration in the southwestern Yemeni village of Wahijah, near the port of Mocha on the Red Sea, killing at least 27 people, including eight children.
According to The BBC, the Saudi-led coalition, which has been carrying out airstrikes against Houthi positions, the main opposition force in Yemen, since March, denied any involvement in the deadly attack.
Other media reports suggest that 70 women were among the victims of the bombing.
