The head of the Russian Lower House's International Affairs Committee has noticed that while President Obama held serious discussions with President Putin on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, he exchanged only a few brief words on the move with the Ukrainian head of state Poroshenko.

“Tired of Ukraine? Against a serious talk with Putin, brief words on the move with Poroshenko indicate a shift in Obama’s priorities,” tweeted Alexei Pushkov, commenting on the special attention the US president gave to his meeting with President Putin, in contrast to the miserly time he spent with the Ukrainian leader.

The Russian politician also noted that in his address to the UN General Assembly, the Russian president has wrapped up Russia’s return to the international area, which started back in 2007 at the Munich security conference.

“Amid all the excitement around Putin’s speech at the UN, his meeting with Obama and other contacts the “isolation” of Russia was forgotten even by with the authors of this weird idea,” tweeted the politician.
