WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Margvelashvili also said that Islamic State activity is taking place in parts of Georgia where traditional Muslim communities have been weakened.
"For sure, a couple of dozen people have been identified, engaging in those activities from Georgia," Margvelashvili stated at a discussion at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, DC.
Margvelashvili noted that terrorist-related activities are a standing problem for majority of countries.
"There is a bigger question how ISIS [Islamic State]… and other groups are able to maintain their financial stability and be able to recruit," he said.
