MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian and US military discussed in a video-conference call on Thursday establishing channels of communication to prevent "a conflict of interests" in the Syrian airspace, a high-ranking Russian defense official told RIA Novosti.
"The sides focused on establishing regular contacts between military experts to prevent a conflict of interests in the Syrian airspace during operations against the Islamic State," the source said.
The official added that the discussions were held in a constructive and business-like atmosphere and the sides agreed to maintain dialogue on coordination of their actions in Syria.
