MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian combat aircraft deployed in Syria fulfilled all set tasks during sorties in the past 24 hours, analyzed data showed that only Islamic State targets had been hit, the Russian military said Thursday.
"The Russian air group has fulfilled all tasks during pinpointed airstrikes on Islamic State targets in the past 24 hours," Aerospace Forces spokesman Col. Igor Klimov said.
"Objective data analysis clearly shows that Russian airstrikes only hit IS targets thoroughly reconnoitered on the basis of reports from credible sources," Klimov said.
