"One reason [for the refugee crisis] is that there has been a series of bad international political decisions, not only Europe was participating in them. The other reason is that ISIS has been gaining additional territories and to be honest with each other, we have reached only limited successes, during counter-ISIS fight of ours," Szijjarto said in his address to the UN General Assembly.
Szijjarto urged the international community for a global solution to stabilize the situation in North Africa and the Middle East, boost anti-ISIL cooperation and fully realize the goal of sustainable development.
Over half a million people have arrived in Europe in 2015 fleeing war and poverty in Africa and the Middle East, according to the European Commission estimates.
