“There’s no necessity today to create a new law on amnesty or a new so-called law that was imposed on us on the special or individual status of Donbass. We currently have an adequate legislative base to settle these issues. The entire legislative base corresponds with the Minsk agreements,” Kostiantyn Yelisieiev said.
He also said that Kiev hopes to begin discussing the specifics of holding local elections in the eastern regions not under Kiev control on Tuesday during trilateral contact group talks on Ukrainian reconciliation.
“A discussion on the specifics of holding local elections will be held during the trilateral contact group frameworks, and I’d like to say that tomorrow another meeting that we’re counting on will start the process,” Yelisieiev added.
