On October 3, repeated US airstrikes on the Medecins Sans Frontieres hospital in Kunduz killed 12 members of staff and ten patients, and wounded 40 others. At the time of the bombing, which lasted nearly an hour, more than 105 patients and 80 doctors were inside.
