Russia's air force continued airstrikes against ISIL targets in Syria overnight on Tuesday, performing reconnaissance and sorties from Hmeymim Air Base.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Twitter that the air force is continuing its 24-hour reconnaissance to detect and destroy targets.
Russia began precision strikes against Islamic State targets in Syria on September 30. According to Russia's Defense Ministry, Russia's air force on Monday destroyed around 20 tanks, a communications post, explosives warehouses, and a command point.
