MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The protesters blocked traffic and threw stones at the police vehicles, Haaretz newspaper said. Six officers were hospitalized with minor injuries.
Some six protesters were arrested, including two for assaulting policemen and four for vandalism, the news outlet said.
The army demolished houses of two Palestinians involved in last year's terrorist attacks, overnight into Tuesday, prompting protests in the country. At least 90 people were injured in clashes throughout Jerusalem and the West Bank, according to media reports.
The Israeli military move came as measure to stop recently escalated tensions, as four Israeli and four Palestinians were killed in the country over the last week.
